Hello!

We are a group of neighbors concerned about the water quality of the Loch Haven Chain of Lakes.  On August 9, 2020, the City of Orlando’s pump station #3 on the corner of Mills and Lake Shore suffered a massive sewage spill.  This event prompted neighbors to investigate the health of the lakes in the Loch Haven Chain.  We wanted to know more about what could be done to make the pump station more resilient against breakdowns and to improve the overall health of the lakes.  We incorporated as a legal entity and got to work.

The Loch Haven Chain of Lakes consists of Lakes Formosa, Rowena, Estelle, Winyah, Sue, and the Howell Creek.  These five lakes and Howell Creek are connected by canals.  While not all of these canals are navigable, water quality problems in one lake quickly spread.
